KILL
You've strapped a blockchain to a punch card — the barista wanted a stamp and you handed them a crypto wallet, a gas fee, and a seed phrase to lose.
NFT-based loyalty points for independent coffee shops, replacing punch cards with blockchain tokens.
The reasoning
Why it dies
The customer buying a $4 latte does not want to sign a transaction, open a wallet, or explain to their friends why their free-coffee reward is on OpenSea. The coffee shop owner running on 8% margins wants Square, not a Web3 integration and a talk about minting costs. You've bolted the single most trust-eroded word of 2022 onto one of the lowest-tech, lowest-margin, highest-friction-averse transactions on earth. A paper card with a rubber stamp beats you on cost, speed, comprehension, and vibe. The 'NFT' does literally nothing the loyalty part didn't already do worse — it's a solution actively repelling the problem it claims to solve.
What would save it
Delete 'NFT.' If a plain digital loyalty platform for indie coffee shops is genuinely useful, build that — Toast and Square already own it, so you'd need a razor-sharp wedge like cross-shop shared rewards in one neighborhood. But the moment the value depends on the blockchain, it's dead; nobody at the counter is here for that.
